Citrus Heights homes

April 9th, 2010 by admin

Just northeast of California’s capital, the plains of the Sacramento Valley begin their gradual rolling ascent into the Sierra Nevada foothills where you will begin to see the Citrus Heights homes dotting the rolling green and lush hillsides.  The sight of the gently unfolding landscape meant they had arrived at the promised land for the old pioneers who were lucky enough to have come this way to settle down in a new frontier for them to call home.

Today, Interstate 80 – the main transcontinental highway connecting New York and San Francisco – serves businesses and the approximate 90,000 residents who call Citrus Heights home.   Citrus Heights recently celebrated its 10-year Anniversary of Cityhood on January 1, 2007.  Although it may seem as if the City of Citrus Heights is relatively young after recently celebrating its first decade, the Citrus Heights area has a deep-rooted history dating back to the late 1800s and the Gold Rush days.  Today, there are beautiful ranches, single family homes, condos and townhomes in the area that was once all farmland.  Wonderful luxurious apartments are available also.  The prices range from affordable to upper end expensive.
