Play Along Tracks make learning the Drums a lot more fun
September 6th, 2010 by admin
One thing that gets boring sometimes for beginner drummers is that without other instruments drums aren’t that fun to play on your own. Also when you’re first starting out even jamming along with other songs isn’t all that fun. So what are your options? Truthfully what I did was find a course that included some play along tracks so that even in the beginning when I wasn’t able to keep up with a full song yet I had something to play along with. The course I used was Learn and Master drums. The course provided 5 discs worth of tunes to listen to while I practiced plus it covered all the beginner and intermediate topics I wanted to learn. If you’re a beginner definitely check it out.

Monkeys, Bananas, Yellow Hats - I Had Better Order My Curious George Costume
August 23rd, 2010 by admin
I got a rather curious invitation to a Halloween party this morning and I am still excited by it. It had a picture of a monkey on the front and some yellow bananas cut out of crepe paper were scattered inside the envelope. It was for a Curious George themed Halloween party and was from my best friend Daisy. Now if I know Daisy, she will have the entire place decorated and will even theme the food and decorations. I don’t want to let her downand so I am looking everywhere for a really great Curious George costume. My local costume store didn’t have any on sale, they were very popular the man said and had already sold out. What am I going to do?I think I’d better get my laptop out and try and hunt one down on the internet. I am hoping there is a good range out there because Daisy is the competitive sort and anything less than the bestCurious George costume in the world will not cut the mustard with her. I did think of going as the Man in The Yellow Hat but though the cute and gentle monkey would be a safer option. Bananas anyone?

I Have Been Searching Online
August 22nd, 2010 by admin
I have been doing a lot of searching online lately. There has been one main thing that I have been looking up, and that is how can I improve my singing range. I have been trying to find some exercises that I can do at home on my own. I am going to study music when I am in college and I plan to have an emphasis on voice, but I want to be able to improve now. I can usually hit some of the high notes but I have a hard time holding them and they tend to be weak.

Infomercials
August 18th, 2010 by admin
Okay, I am officially done with infomercials. I’m changing the channel, I can not sit through another 4 minute infomercial about the ‘Top Party Rock Music Songs’ or ‘Das Uber Blender’ or anything else. I mean, it started with the ads that showed up on bottom of the screen when you were watching your shows, then longer and longer commercial times, and now infomercials are leaking out of the Infomercial Channel. Ugh, maybe I should just stop with TV all together or at least a bit, but it’s just so annoying to sit through obnoxiously long commercials. Yes, I love watching infomercials about Pillow Pets when I’m watching Saw III.

Finding 3D Decoupage Sheets
August 13th, 2010 by admin
I went to a local yard sale last weekend and got some really great stuff. Among the things I found were the most unique 3D Decoupage Sheets. It was a very nice find at a yard sale and I got two sheets for a really good price. My mom loves decoupage, so I plan on giving them to her. She loves to decorate everything with decoupage, and I think she is really going to like these. For her last birthday, I got her a whole bunch of decoupage sheets that she has already used on various things around her house.
