Structurally, wooden are equal to others.

Structurally, wooden are equal to others. They may swing up in a single piece or they may swing open as carriage one really do. These are incredibly simple and not much can go wrong structurally. There are also many wooden ones that look as though they would swing open when really they are cut in sections and pulled up on a track like a standard one. This allows you to have the classic look of a carriage door but experience the convenience of a modern Roll up Garage Door. Environmentally, timber is the best material option. So many steel and vinyl doors fill up landfills whereas timber is a natural product that will naturally deteriorate. Choosing wood is the environmentally friendly decision. Wood doors are superior to all other doors in style, longevity, structure, and environmental consciousness.
