All these work used to be done by professional installers who received some form of training before they were allowed to handle customer’s PV panels. They also have to be familiar enough with different types of wiring so electrical connections can be done correctly. Commercial installers would dominate the scene…until a small, radical group of experts came to reveal the tricks of the trade to “outsiders” like you and me. These experts made building and installing DIY solar panels for beginners so intuitive even amateurs who have little DIY experience can complete an entire installation. As such, many homeowners are able to enjoy free solar electric power using cheap homemade photovoltaic panels.
