Morocco Hotels and the Many Cats

Did you know that in Marrakech whilst it’s an offence to drink inside the walled city, it’s also an offence to keep dogs. While dogs might be banned cats are very popular and guests staying at Morocco hotels will find a number of cats inside Djemma El Fna.  The cats are generally healthy and cat lovers will find them to be affectionate. However, restaurant owners are perhaps not as happy to see the cats and will usually shoo them from their premises so try to avoid feeding them titbits under the table. Other animals you’ll see in Marrakech include horses, camels and even the odd monkey.
